Let’s play the Replacement Referee Game
Read the rule, watch the replay, and give me your conclusion. See if you fall on my side or the official’s side. Watch this replay as if you were a replacement ref. We’ll pretend you’re not on the take.
Here’s my take: The more I watch this play that ended the MNF football game between the Seahawks and Packers I realize that Golden Tate never came close to having possession of the football. It was intercepted by Jennings, the Packers safety, and Tate pulled on Jennings’ arm trying to knock the ball loose. While on the ground Golden may have gotten more of a hand on the ball but nothing that would deem possession. M.D. Jennings intercepted the pass end of story. It may have taken a few replays to confirm but that is what I did and the conclusion I came to. How did the ref’s come to their conclusion?
